The MMC mucking winch is designed for operation through a standard tank cleaning opening. It can also be adapted for use through a trunk hatch if necessary. Operated by the ship's air supply, the unit is engineered for durability and dependability in a maritime environment.

Designed to be virtually foolproof, the winch system features a control handle positioned for easy operation and an automatic braking action that is triggered if the bucket hangs up on a tank obstruction or overruns the davit to jam the sheave wheel.

The mechanical hoisting system also features a galvanized steel davit assembly with aluminum clamps for fastening to the base of the tank cleaning stud circle.

The bucket is customer-supplied.

The complete winch unit is 74 inches high and includes a powerful rotary air motor, a winch drum and reduction gear box assembly, a four-way, three-position valve for positive control, air line filter, automatic air-oil lubricator, stainless steel non-spinning hoisting cable with galvanized safety hook, and a bronze bushed sheave wheel mounted on a stainless steel shaft.
